Acclimatization

It is critical that your new solid wood flooring acclimatizes for a minimum of 30 days prior to installation.   If you are going with an engineered product, timelines can be cut in half.  It is important that your new flooring gets delivered right after the completion of the drywall/mudding stage of your project.  Each bundle is carefully “stick-stacked” allowing for good air movement and helps the floor acclimatize to its new surrounding.

Once installed and finished, the humidity in your home needs to be maintained within the 30%-40% range.  This will ensure that your floor stays tight and that you will have little to no movement during the winter months.
